“The more knowledge our leaders have, the more confident, empowered, and prepared they will be for the future. Over the last several years, we have made strides to build our bench, and the leadership training delivered by AMA was a great way to do this..”

As the largest manufacturer of cold-formed steel framing in North America, ClarkDietrich wanted a management development program that fostered a high level of trust, communication, alignment, and relationship-building to support a culture of high performance. They sought a partner that offered customized content backed by research that prepares managers for real-world scenarios.
ClarkDietrich partnered with AMA on a fully customized, instructor-led program which was delivered over two days on-site at their headquarters for approximately 100 managers and supervisors. Each group contained a mix of managers and leaders — from the manufacturing floor to shift leaders to leaders in engineering, which provided a great opportunity for cross-functional networking and collaborative learning. ClarkDietrich’s internal use of a Styles Assessment Tool was also reinforced and expanded upon.
Response to the management development program has been overwhelmingly positive, with an overall rating higher than 96%. More important is the notable improvement in engagement and positive behavioral changes, including high retention and employee satisfaction ratings. ClarkDietrich has been able to successfully transition from a formal performance management process into a more effective, on-the-job coaching model.
