Before Your Seminar
Q: How soon before the seminar starts can I register?
A: You can register by phone or by using our Website up
until the day before your seminar begins. We also accept
walk-in registrations, but we strongly recommend advance
reservations to ensure that we can accommodate you.
Q: How do I register more than one
person?
A: The easiest way to register multiple people is to call
1-877-566-9441. If you register three or more people for
the same seminar session, you will receive a team discount
of up to 10%.
Q: How will I know when my registration is confirmed?
A: If you register using our Website, you will have the
opportunity to print a confirmation sheet at the end of
the registration process. You will also receive a hard copy
of your registration in the mail 7–10 days later.
If you register via phone, fax, e-mail or mail, you will receive a confirmation letter in the mail within 7-10 days after your registration.
Q: What if I register for a seminar, but then can’t
attend?
A: You may transfer to a future session, send someone to take your place or cancel without penalty at any time up to three weeks prior to your seminar. If you provide AMA with less than three weeks’ notice, or fail to attend, you will be liable for the entire seminar fee. We appreciate that this is an important investment for you and your company and would like to accommodate your needs the best we can. Therefore, please call us at 1-877-566-9441.
Q: What can I do if I’m unsatisfied with a seminar
that I attended?
A: At AMA, we guarantee the quality of our seminars. In
fact, 98% of our participants say they would recommend the
course they have taken to their colleagues. If, for any
reason, you are not satisfied with a seminar for which you
have paid, AMA will give you credit toward another seminar
of comparable price or will refund your fee. Please call
1-877-566-9441.
Q: How do I pay for a seminar?
A: For your convenience, you can pay in one of three ways.

hands-on as possible, AMA seminar leaders are selected from
a pool of industry experts who have been successful in the

who is not only a skilled platform speaker but also a top
business practitioner.

Q: Can I Earn Professional Accreditation
Credits from AMA Seminars?
A: Yes, AMA seminars qualify for Continuing Education Units.
Some seminars also qualify for specific accreditations—read
on for details.
Q: What are Continuing Education Units
(CEUs)?
A: Through the Continuing Education Unit (CEU) system, you
receive formal recognition for improving your management
skills by completing AMA seminars. Under the CEU system,
one unit is awarded for completion of ten hours of participation
in an organized continuing education experience that provides
responsible sponsorship, capable direction and qualified
instruction. All of AMA’s seminars qualify for CEUs.
When you earn CEUs, you receive immediate recognition for your career development efforts. A CEU Certificate suitable for framing will be presented to you upon satisfactory completion of the AMA seminar you have attended. You will also have a permanent, confidential record of accomplishments kept by AMA. Providing us with your Social Security number each time you attend a seminar enables us to update your record on an ongoing basis.
A: The number of CEU credits is indicated at the bottom of your seminar description Web page. This number corresponds to the number of contact hours involved. You earn one credit for every ten hours of instruction.
Q: How can I get a CEU transcript?
A: You will receive a CEU Certificate without charge after successful completion of each qualifying AMA seminar.
After you have completed several such programs, you may want to have an official transcript of your cumulative CEU record. This will show the titles, dates and number of CEUs each AMA seminar you have completed since the CEU system was adopted in January 1974. A transcript will be issued only at the personal request of the individual whose record it contains. To obtain a transcript, or to authorize sending one to someone else, call the Registrar, American Management Association, 1-877-566-9441.
Q: Do your seminars qualify for other professional accreditation credits?
A: Yes, some of our seminars qualify for the following accreditations:
APICS–The Educational Society for Resource Management
PDU–Project Management Institute
CPE–National Association State Board of Accountancy
CCM–Association for Financial Professional
CPS–International Association of Administrative Professionals
C.P.M.–Institute for Supply Management

CEU–Continuing Education Units
If your seminar qualifies for any of these credits, it will be indicated on the seminar description Web page.
