We’ve all been there. At an important business meeting you’re quickly introduced to four potential clients and within seconds your brain takes a hike and you forget their names.

Or how about this one? The big boss recognizes you in front of the whole department with an award for a job well done and all you can think to say in response is “Golly, thanks a lot.” Or—most terrifying of all—you hear the words, “Speech! Speech!” and realize that it is you the group wants to hear say a few words.

These and other “impromptu” situations require different skills from those usually associated with making a presentation.

Since you don’t have the time to prepare in advance, you need a set of tools that you can call upon at a moment’s notice—a sort of communication “cheat sheet” stored in your brain for just such emergencies. This free Webcast gives you useful tips for handling what to say when you weren’t planning on saying anything at all.
