Overview

In America, Charles Handy is perhaps best known as an author (over a million copies of his books have been sold around the world), social philosopher and management “guru.”

He was one of the first to predict the large-scale downsizing of organizations and the emergence of self-employed professionals in the workforce.

During this special Webcast, Mr. Handy will share his thoughts on life’s big questions and turning points, sharing his own experiences to illustrate what he has learned.

What You Will Learn

From lessons his father taught him as he grew up in Ireland to things he discovered working for Royal Dutch Shell, attending school in America, co-founding the London Business School, and listening to and talking with people all over the world...you’ll hear his wise take on matters such as:

  • Where and how do you learn what you need for life and work?
  • If careers for life are now out, what is in?
  • What does leadership involve?
  • What are the triggers for change, in personal life or business?
  • What global changes are on the horizon that we ought to be thinking about?
  • What is enough? What do you do if you have more than enough?

In his wonderfully engaging style, Mr. Handy provides you with the opportunity to learn life-lessons from one of our wisest social thinkers—and ultimately to inform and influence your own life's journey.
