Who is executive leadership training designed for?
This executive training is designed for mid-level managers to executives who are responsible for setting direction, leading at scale and influencing across the organization. It’s ideal for those looking for structured executive leadership development beyond basic management or leadership training.
What does this executive leadership course focus on?
This program focuses on the skills required at the executive level—strategic thinking, executive presence, decision making, influencing without authority and leading through complexity. The emphasis is on how executives lead, not just what they manage.
How long is the course, and what formats and pricing are offered?
The course runs three consecutive days, in person in six cities or live online. Live online is also offered as four sessions across two weeks for leaders who cannot step away for three full days. The program fee is $3,195 for non-members and $2,895 for AMA Members in either format, and GSA pricing is available. The course can also be delivered at your company location.
What professional credits does the course earn, and are there prerequisites?
Both formats earn 1.8 IACET CEUs, 21 NASBA CPE hours (Intermediate level, Communication and Marketing and Personal Development), 18 PMI Talent Triangle PDUs in Power Skills, 18 SHRM Professional Development Credits toward SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP recertification 18 CLPs, and 18 Professional Maintenance Units toward the AMA Certified Professional in Management® credential. The recommended prerequisite is a foundation in leadership; the course is designed for mid-level managers and executives rather than first-time managers. An online pre-assessment is completed before the first session and a post-assessment after it.
How is executive leadership training different from general leadership or management training?
General leadership programs often focus on managing teams or building foundational skills. This leadership training for executives is designed specifically for senior-level challenges—enterprise thinking, organizational influence and leading other leaders. It goes beyond day-to-day management into true executive management training.
What practical outcomes can I expect from this executive leadership development program?
After completing this course, participants can communicate with greater clarity and authority, make more confident strategic decisions, and lead with increased credibility across stakeholders, peers and senior leadership.
How does this compare to other programs or competitors?
Many executive leadership seminars focus on theory, coaching-only models or self-paced content. AMA’s Developing Executive Leadership program is an instructor-led experience grounded in real-world leadership challenges. It’s well suited to executives who want practical application, peer discussion and structured development rather than purely academic or on-demand learning.
Can this course be delivered in house as corporate leadership training for executives, senior leaders and emerging leaders?
