Managing During the War.

Hostilities in Iraq are underway. Although a time of war is hardly conducive to “business as usual,” we hope that the information provided here will help you and your organization carry on as effectively and as productively as possible.

AMA is well aware of the cost. There is the human cost. There is a dollar cost. According to Knight Kiplinger, editor in chief of The Kiplinger Letter, speaking in February at an AMA Current Issues Briefing, the war will cost around $300 billion this year, or around 1% of the U.S. GNP. And, of course, there is a heightened risk of terrorism.

Consequently, AMA has assembled a special package of expert advice on dealing with the professional and personal challenges posed by the war in Iraq.
