Overall the training was excellent. It covers everything that you need regarding presentation skills.
The instructor was engaging and knowledgeable and provided relevant real world examples that made the training more effective. Excellent course!
I think the instructor took too much time to answer questions, and go over student's slides. Unfortunately, it left very little time for our final presentation (about 10 minutes to prepare), and some people did not end up to get to present, as they had to catch a plane.
Maria Elisa J.
Michael was a very engaging instructor who helped the class build confidence in improving our presentation skills. I think everyone showed significant improvement by the end of the seminar.
Great info and learning, I will leave this class with helpful tools with my future presentations. Would have liked more time to do practice in front of everyone.
Great course, very useful, great teacher.
The contents of this training are very practical and helpful to my daily work. And Janet is a great instructor, all of us are very engaged.
The speaker was a great representation of what the class was in lined with. Strategies For Developing Presentation Skills. Barbara was very informative and interactive the entire presentation. She implemented the course outline to the core and that's a well deserved compliment.
In this 3 days of training , My confidence level went up and learned a lot on how to do presentation. My instructor is very knowledgeable and helpful to reach my goal.
With the small class size, there was plenty of time for lots of practice and personalized feedback. Even though some of the lessons taught will take longer to sink in, it was possible to see improvements within just the three days of in-class time
I thought the class was great with one very small but important point. LEAVE POLITICS OUT OF YOUR CLASS
The course was great. it was both educational and enjoyable. The instructor is very knowledgible and a great Demo for the topic (I meant great presenter). I have learned many relevant tools and tips, which i believe will be of beneficial to my work and personal growth.
Brent did a wonderful job making sure every participant grew over the 3 day class
I got so much more out of this class than what I had hoped! Great instructor; great content. So much useful information on preparing for a presentation, knowing your audience, visual aids, a strong closing statement, having a “plan B†, how to handle Q & a as well as challenging audience members. Lots of hands-on practice "doing" so what was learned was well retained.
Darleen was pretty good, knowledgeable, and offered good feedback. However this course was *wildly* overpriced for what it was. And Darleen starting by telling us the hours to expect over the 3 days (9-5, 9-5, 9-4:30), and then leaving a half-hour early each day and leaving us on our own was unprofessional. The explanation was her 2.5 hour commute, but for what we paid, and what she was paid, this was surprising. That was a total of 1.5 hours less than we were promised. She knew going in how long her commute was and agreed to take the gig.
This was an excellent class. I learned a lot about improving the way I give presentations.
Darlene was a great facilitator.
This was my first AMA class, so I have no basis for comparison; however, I think Jeffrey did a great job facilitating this course. I would recommend offering some easy-to-remember, "canned" presentation topics and content, so students can focus less on content and more on Structure and Delivery. To improve the course flow, I would recommend that on the last day of class, the final presentations be given in the morning, allowing for more discussion/feedback in the afternoon session. Also, it might be beneficial, if not just interesting, to allow students a second go at their final presentation after receiving feedback. Personally, once I've finished the presentation, I feel a sense of accomplishment and ease as if I could do anything. A second go at it would be much more comfortable/relaxed, and provide an opportunity for the student to incorporate the feedback while at front of mind. I liken this to a typical "role-play" scenario where you make small improvements each round.
Training was good. I think it could have been done in 2 days instead of 3.
Facility was great, but it would have helped to have some signage view able from the exterior of the building. There were some business names one the outside of the building, but not AMA. I had to go inside and ask if I was at the right place. Drove around the building a couple times before i parked and went inside to ask.Training had lots of good information and I learned a lot, but I did not feel there was any one big take away, that made me super excited about having taken the training.
This was a good training. I learned a lot more then I thought I would. The only thing I would change it would be to have the final presentation done on the morning of the last day when you are fresh. This training could very well be done in two in a half days instead of three.
It will certainly help me to improve my presentation skills.
Barbara was a great instructor and wovevin lessons into every exercise. I learned a great deal about myself and how to conquer my speaking fears
Ching Man I.
Fantastic!!! I achieved my goal.
One of my objectives at the beginning of the class was to better describe tables/charts/diagrams. The response from the trainer was that there is a separate class focused on making good visuals. I felt like we were being sold other classes 2-3 times during the session. At my company, the visuals are made by PhD and DVM, my job is to present the pre-made visuals well. That is the whole reason I took the class. The class was very one dimensional- create a 5 min monologue and repeat it over and over. Not worth anywhere near amount the class cost.
The format of the class was such that every participant was able to continuously work on their areas for improvement and make great progress throughout the 3 days. It was a very safe space with lots of goodwill in the room, and then led to lots of improvement. And this was all thanks to our great instructor! My only real complaint is that food was not provided to participants. I thought it was pretty standard that breakfast and lunch be provided, so that added a little stress to have to find lunch and breakfast each day on top of the course work and normal work.
This training was excellent. I walked away with concrete skills that I feel confident I can implement on my own.
The training really helped me out.
Great class. Learning points were right on
I thought Nancy did a great job pushing us outside of our comfort zone and stretching us personally. I would have liked the course to be a bit more tailored to building the presentation, but I’m sure you have a class for that. Overall, I enjoyed my time and got a lot out of the class
Great course. Nancy showed how well she knows the topic and was instrumental in getting answers to the questions/expectations each of the attendees had before the beginning of the course. She gave us lots of life examples and situations were presenting could play a role and making that connection between training and real life situations is key in order to keep the participants engage in the use of the presenting techniques/skills.
It was a great training. It could have been perhaps (at least) half a day shorter. Sometimes asking 3 days for a training is too much of participants. Also, some of the information seems outdated for the digital age (references to tape recorders, etc).
I admit that the course subject matter is rather intimidating, but the instructor Jeff did an outstanding job of creating a learning and “safe†environment where there was no negative judgment and only excellent feedback. He provided the structure for presentations very clearly and that is one take-away that I will be forever grateful for.
great learning environment
I absolutely enjoyed this course. Jeff is great at teaching individuals how to become better presenters. I would love to take another one of his courses in the future.
Engaging and easy to follow. Relevant and practical. Great personality!
Very good seminar on most accounts. I would like to have more information on dealing with difficult people and more specifics on how to prepare for different audience types (top mgmt., supervisors, peers, etc.).
The course setup was easy to follow.
The course showed me my weak points in presenting and public speaking, and then provided tools to help me work on correcting the problem areas I have.
Excellent course! Well put together and arranged to maximize the functional application of what we learned. Would definitely recommend.
I really appreciated Janet's positive approach towards teaching presentation skills. This created a relaxing environment with subject matter that can often be nerve racking for individuals that aren't comfortable giving presentations.
Taking this course was very helpful in my development to present presentations. I learned valuable information and assessments from other participants. The instructor taught the course with much energy, interest, and gave relevant examples.
I appreciated all tools I gained during this seminar. Everything was useful and relevant and will be applied to my future presentations.
Enjoyed the pace & was able to glean best practices for presenting in varying situations.
Everything was great! Jill was very personable and made sure we truly understood each topic in relation to our work.
Great class. 18 people for this class is quite a bit and maybe with less there more could get accomplished.
Overall, it was a good training and I feel like I took a few things away from it that will help me grow as a speaker.
Jill is very professional and shared clearly her knowlegment
Exceeded my expectations. Very useful information.
Exactly what I needed to gain confidence in my presentation skills.
Jill did a fabulous job providing instructional information and constructive feedback. She also managed the group in a very professional manner, keeping everyone on target.
A great 3-day interactive program to practice your presentation skills while receiving both praise and very helpful constructive criticism from other participants.
Excellent instructor. Very knowledgeable about the subject matter.
The coaching during the seminar was great. The instructor provided insights that otherwise I would not have noticed.
The first half of the first day was not a good experience. I know that one of the reasons why I was there was to learn how to not get stressed out and deal with anxiety before and during a presentation. During the first half of the first day, I felt like the instructor was way to aggressive for the class and it felt like he was extremely critical right away and he made me extremely nervous. I almost didn't come back to class because of this. He did calm down by the second half of the first day.
Excellent learning experience and visible improvement in presenting everyday.
Good information the delivery was not always well taken by class. Sometimes instructor not clear.
I really enjoyed this course. I feel it helped me tremendously in overcoming my nerves when speaking in front of audiences
Lisa employed a well balanced approach; helped understand key points in a variety of ways. Very effective techniques were used to supplement theory.
AMA provided an amazing course for practicing public speaking skills, but more broadly, overall communication techniques and confidence in the business world. The small group environment gave us abundant opportunities for learning. We were able to try new things, share positive and constructive feedback with one another, and apply what we learned in the moment. It was also a terrific bonding and networking experience - we all made friends and connections that will last long after session's end. Lisa facilitated the course with great examples, analogies, real life lessons and applications. We learned a lot, but she also made it FUN. No matter what level of management, experience, or confidence, I would highly recommend this course to anyone looking to practice and improve their presentation techniques, and stretch themselves to their fullest potential.
The course had some good knowledge to share. The content is more for beginners and people that are new to public speaking. I would have liked more information on developing the content of a speech or creating better presentations. The class is also structured in a way that is self-taught and presented to your peers, so it is hard for some to understand what is important to know in those presentations.
Great training session. Excellent, knowledgeable instructor. I am equipped with new tools to deliver more effective presentations
Felt at ease, walked away feeling more confident and with the tools I need to improve my presentation skills
Our instructor showed excellent skill. I learned exactly what I was hoping and more.
Great course with broad applicability.
I found the training to be invaluable to identifying new strategies to better perfect presenting and presentations overall. Pauline created a safe space for all the participants to be comfortable working on their individual areas of concern.
The training was great. The instructor was very knowledgeable in the area of building strategies for one to achieve an effective and powerful presentation. She allowed the class to practice giving presentations. This really helped us to learn how to put what was taught into action. What also was great is that the instructor allowed the class to give each other feedback on what we saw as the presenter's weak and/or strong areas in their presentations. I HIGHLY recommend managers, supervisors or anyone who is interested in sharpening their presentations. I am glad AMA has offered this course.
This was hands down the best AMA course I have taken. Having a huge fear of presenting, I knew that I needed to understand what it takes to give a good presentation, and this class delivered. With a small class size, this course offered me great opportunity to learn the necessary skills to present on any topic. If you are looking for ways to become a better presenter, this is the class to take!
Excellent instructor, well structured and organized seminar. Practiced and learnt a lot.
The training class was great! The instructor kept us interested.
Peter did a wonderful job facilitating the training. I learned a lot and will be able to apply my new skills immediately.
In a non-judgmental environment, all in the class was given constructive feedback in a positive way by the Peter. Classmates were given the opportunity to give others feedback as well both positive and negative.
This was my first AMA training and it was a great experience. I had some minor training for public speaking in the past but this was great. I was a sponge just absorbing all the great techniques Jill had to give.
Practicing multiple times, with recording of speeches and constructive feedback, helped me make immediate improvements to my presentation ability. I definitely recommend this course!
I could get many tips for presentation from this seminar and I felt that my presentatiopn skill is getting better during this seminar.
The class taught a lot of excellent skills. It is amazing to see my day 3 compared to my day 1 presentation.
Very good for introductory training. Instructor made the difference.
The overall was great. Pam was great. The pace was a bit slow and content was a bit junior.
Pam was very easy to get along with and understand. She was very supportive.
The course was very informative and helpful and improved my presentation skills
Really liked the trainer and the course. Very thorough and practical.
The instructor was knowledgeable and very helpful in polishing my presenting.
Course curriculum was great. I learned a lot of subject matter in three days.
The instructor is very encouraging and supportive, and to a certain level she adjusts the content based on the learning objectives of the trainees. There were 8 trainees and each of us got comments and feedback. It takes time and practice to be a good speaker, but I'm more aware of my problems and strengths and more confident that I'll be able to achieve that
I felt that Pauline was amazing she was extremely informative and I felt that she genuienly cared for our overall improvement. The overall pace of the sessions were great she pushed us to be great but also allowed us to grow.
Nice teacher, keeps the class engaged and awake throughout the entire course. Lots of great tips. Love the small class size
The class exceeded expectations. I saw noticeable improvement in my skills over the three days. Janet had a very nice teaching style, welcoming class participation while also keeping things on track and moving along. Her feedback was very perceptive.
The content of the class was good and the instructor shows that the instructor's priority is for the students to benefit from what they learn in the class.
What a great teacher and better yet human being. Reesa is as authentic as it gets. She cares about her class and made it a point to do group activities. We started the class on Monday as strangers and all got to know each other so much better as the week went on
The lass covered all of the material promised. Reesa was animated, fun, and easy to understand.
This class was excellent. It will help me at work and in my personal life.
Reesa was able to tailor the class to each and every individual so that we each got the most benefit out of the class. Hands down, she is the best teacher I have ever encountered during an AMA course. She was able to help me break out of my shell and start heading down the right path to public speaking that I have desired for a long time. This course was much better than the Dale Carnegie Training I had in the past, and instead of 8 four hour courses, it only took three consecutive days.
I thought I signed up for a presentation skills training but instead I found myself in a life coaching session. Reesa was an excellent facilitator who not only clearly knows her content, but passionately shared it with us, combining theory with practice.
The training was excellent. I wish I had taken this early in my life. I will recommend this to others in my department.
Reesa is an excellent teacher. She ask everyone to record their first speech to the class then another one the second day after techniques were taught. Everyone can see clear improvement just in one day and confidence gained were tremendous. She doesn't only cover the book material but many more with real life example and using techniques in class without pointing them out. Until later in the class she reviews the things she was doing and it is visually and audibly reinforcing material. She wants to ensure her students gets the most out of the class so she asks for feedback on daily basis. It is very clear she changes her teaching style the next class to ensure she address all students requests. This class was truly a valuable and wonderful experience.
The glass is great at showing the mechanics of good presentations and instilling confidence in the process and the ability to improve in short order. Well worth the time spent.
Jill was very informed and organized. I learned a lot from this class.
Jill was an amazing, amazing teacher. She led by example, her presentations on all the topics were captivating and maintained my interest. The video recordings helped my presentations immensely and I saw improvement just within the three days of class. Her feedback was always welcome as it was well structured, intelligent and meaningful. This has been one of the best soft skills training I have ever received.
Barbara is excellent instructor. She shared lots of personal experiences and provided us lots of feedback.
MD REZAUR R.
Valuable training. I learned a lot more than expected and would now recommend to others. Everyone has unconscious bad habits and this class helped me become aware of what to fix.Location had weak eating options nearby.
This training was extremely helpful. Was able to take a lot of good tips away from this course.
Very informative. Kept updated information as needed leading up to the seminar date.
The instructor, Brent, was exceptional in his coaching and his hands on teaching approach! Could not have asked for better.
Brent is very engaging and has a lot of great advice. He delivers the information well and his coaching is great.
good material that i was able to use in my presentations immediately.
Peter is an excellent instructor. I would recommend him to my colleagues.
Great class! I entered the class in fear and with no confidence. I left the class ready to present. I feel with the tools and feedback I received, with a little practice I will get over my fears of presenting.
The class was good, but could be reduced to two or two in a half days
Great instructor, gave great feedback.
My only suggestion would be to implement levels of expertise. A Beginner level for presentation skills an intermediate level and an expert level.
Prefer to more opportunities to present in front of classmate with video recording
Very good feedback and information.
This class hit everything on my list to address. I am very pleased with the level o teaching.
Work well to fulfill the class needs
Very engaging trainerGood program content
I believe AMA must STRONGLY look into class size minimums. I attended 2 of the 3 sessions of this TR, as the last instructor was a "no-show" and I was offered a credit. The class evolved into (3) participants which for me SIGNIFICANTLY took away from what I was looking for out of the training. The trainer Pam did her absolute best to adjust on the fly, but I believe the class just was not what it was supposed to be, at no fault of Pamela. After significant contemplation, I decided not to return to the 3rd session as all our time is too valuable to commit to something that takes you away from other critical matters in one's life. "Guilt" was the only thing telling me I must return, and I decided that just wasn't good enough. I STRONLY suggest that a minimum attendance level be established for AMA trainings, and that a PRO-ACTIVE manner of communicating this to potential attendees is implemented. Understanding that a no-show or two is inevitable, that must be in the calculation of minimum folks signed up, or the class should be postponed/re-scheduled. I was VERY disappointed in how this class evolved and the time I committed to it for the two days. I feel terrible about not attending the last day, but also struggle in wondering what will pull me back to an AMA training. Maybe after some time has passed. Thanks for listening. And hopefully some of these challenges are resolved.
Reesa was GREAT! She was extremely enthusiastic, encouraging, motivating, thoughtful, and inspiring. Reesa addressed the class's needs along with each individual's needs. She was open to comments and feedback at all times. She had a genuine interest in each of our wants and needs. Reesa is unlike any other trainer I have met, as she made it very clear that she will remain an advisor to us for as long as we need.
The course was perfect in terms of content, duration and instruction. Alan was my instructor - he was very knowledgeable, excellent at providing feedback to individuals and groups after the exercises, excellent at answering questions and also very flexible with individual requests.
Strategies for Developing Effective Presentation Skills was very helpful. I enjoyed the format of the course, particularly how the content was followed by practical applications. I also liked how interactive the class was, especially since it was a relatively long course. This was my first AMA course, and I would definitely take another based on this experience. Alan was a great instructor and was very encouraging! My only constructive feedback is that the course focuses exclusively on giving formal presentations to groups. However, the participants in the class had a wide range of presentation experience (i.e. delivering entry level training over Skype vs. presenting to company executives), and may have benefited from course material tailored to other types of presentations.
Overall, I felt that this training really helped me hone my presentation skills, and I felt encouraged and motivated by group and instructor feedback.
The instructor was awesome. I learned a great deal
I would recommend in the future that the instructor ask for the needs of the students to incorporate into her presentation. I noticed different people had different goals in becoming a better presenter. It would have nice to practice and steer the content to meet the class needs.
This course is a good refresher and aids in improving your presentation skills. Lots of opportunity for practical application activities during the course.
The Strategies for Developing Effective Presentation Skills was very helpful. After this class it gave me ideas and practice presentations which helped me overcome some of my fear.
I enjoyed the class and learned a great deal
She is very professional and very easy to follow.
Jill was amazing. I left class with a lot to work on and the right direction and guidance to achieve those goals. It would be nice especially for those who are traveling from out of town to have the classes either end on Thursday or half day on Friday.
The course was excellent and the instructor was very knowledgeable of the subject. I felt the feedback from others and Jill was a plus, in addition to, being videotaped for you to view yourself. I most definitely will recommend this course to others.
This training is very informative, practical, and beneficial for what I was looking for.
Great Class and instructor.
Brent was a very effective instructor. He kept the class focused and engaged. We enjoyed participarting in what was a tough challenging situation. This was a presentation class so we went over the fear aspect, and strategies to overcome that fear. Everytime a subject came up and there was an opportunity to present what we learned we did and recorded it! So I have alot of examples of how I did with presenting the material. This was an extremely useful class and the dynamic between the instructor and us worked so well. There was never a dull momoent!
Brent is one of the most genuine and enthusiastic instructors I have ever had the pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend him and his training classes to any and all potential students.Thank you Bent and keep up the good work!
It was an awesome interactive class ... Mr Brent showed us many presentation skills.. he always was smiling and full of energy and addressed all our questions
J Steven B.
Janet was keen to listen to what each participant wanted to learn and made sure the topics covered were relevant or if we saw how we could apply them.
Janet is an excellent teacher, not only she present the topics perfectly but also she customized it to your needs in an instance you told her what's relevant to your line of work
I really enjoyed the structure of this course and the feedback from each participant. The sessions were very interactive and the fact that we were given the opportunity to be video taped where you are able to improve on your weaknesses. Great course.
An excellent program that helped me improve my presentation skills.
This was a very beneficial course. I enjoyed taking the course, it really got me out of my comfort zone and taught me how to be better prepared to deliver outstading presentations.
This was a great class, exceeded my expectations.
The content was relevant. The learning styles were encompassing for the diversity of the group. The organization of the examples with the instruction was very well presented by Alan. He was able to add a certain skillset as a presenter that was calming and yet effective. We had a great representation of companies which provided a dynamic feedback. Our presenter was able to control the room as well as the conversation to engage our questions into the instruction. I would certainly learn from Alan and the AMA again.
Very interactive course lead by a very knowledgeable instructor
After taking this course, I am more comfortable presenting in front of a large audience.
Instructor was very good. Provided many good examples and explanations.
Excellent seminar. I will recommend my coworkers to take this seminar
The training was very good and I learned a lot. The instructor gave us a lot to do and learn and put us to the test. Her knowledge and feedback is probably what I thought helped me and the special details of what she knows. I would recommend this class to anyone, since I liked it so much!
The instructor was professional, motivating, and provided clear instruction with appropriate work. This course will provide something new to seasoned speakers. .
Janet has a very engaging manner to teach the art of giving presentations. First, she provides guidelines to attendees for giving effective presentations and has attendees evaluate all presenters on these guidelines. She also understands subtleties between good presentations and great presentations and communicates this to the class.
Janet is a great course facilitator!
Janet did a great job covering all the modules. I have learned a lot and will definitely apply the skills at my job.
This training was very beneficial for every skill level of presenter. The course size of six for my group was awesome, and the feedback of Janet and my peers was incredibly invaluable. Having high quality video of my presentations really helped me to be successful in self-evaluating and recognizing my opportunities for development. The resource guide provided is something I will always use in developing my presentations going forward.
The amount of opportunities I received to practice what I learned during class was really effective. It was clear that the entire class improved in their presentation skills.
Excellent instructor. He really focused on our "weaknesses" and made us practice, practice, and practice until obtaining desired results.
Great course! We had a lot of time to give presentations. The instructor was very supportive and knowledgeable.
This class was great! Peter is amazing and made the class very fun while learning a lot!
Peter did a great job getting us all engaged. He was supportive and made us feel comfortable. Very practical course!
Brent is very good at what he does, which made my learning experience very helpful!
It was a great class.
Excellent instructor, great course material and excellent interactive exercises.
We had a great time learning and executing in class what we learned. The trainer is very good at what she does and it shows.the class was very engaging and dynamic and it was always moving forward at the right pace.
Very good course! covered all relevant topics of public speaking.
Good training and learned good techniques to give presentation
Reesa provided practical examples, tips, and ideas. She made the class entertaining and encouraged the students to provide her with feedback so that all of our questions were addressed.
Reesa did a great job providing a tremendous amount of information and practice over the three day course. I would have thought that people might lose interest after three full days, but Reesa did a great job making things interesting and keeping everyone engaged.
I needed help controlling my nervousness and this instructor gave good tricks for but also was a good example. He skilled at controlling the presentation and making it look natural.
The instructor had a very positive attitude and provided me with useful, appropriate and insightful feedback that I can use to develop my effective speaking style.
Mary Katherine S.
Content was good. Hands-on exercises were good.
Great exercises that enabled me to see that I was good enough and gain the confidence needed to control nerves.
I really enjoyed this class. I feel like it started with the basics of public speaking and I learned a lot.
Excellent training session. Brent was very engaging and an excellent instructor. He created a very positive environment where it felt very open to try new techniques, experiment and get feedback on presentation skills.
Brent was great. Excellent use of humor to keep the class and topic moving along. everyone in the class was active and involved which made the three days very manageable.
Brent was knowledgeable about the subject matter and was an engaging instructor. Presenting can be intimidating and outside my comfort zone; he was able to help us all feel comfortable each day. We did run a little past 5 p.m. on both days. After 8 hours of mostly sitting, my brain was saturated with learning and I was ready for the day to end.The only dissatisfaction I have was with the facility. I have had two other trainings in the facility and didn't experience this: The water and ice machines did not work properly. I went to more than one two times with little luck. Also, I really missed have the bookstore there. I enjoyed perusing the books and bought several during my last trainings. I guess it saved me a lot of money.
I learned many new things that will make me a more effective presenter.
The exercises were good to provide practice on presentations. However, some of the discussion regarding features/benefits section was overdone and did not apply to all of the attendees to the degree it was discussed. More practice presentations would be helpful. And it would be nice to have some preplanned choices for presentation topics/practice instead of starting from scratch would be good since defining a situation/topic took alot of extra time.
Juan Obdulia R.
I wasn't sure in the beginning if this would be a good class for me and thought that perhaps it did not need to be 3 days.
Lisa was extremely personable, professional, and knowledgeable. I gained a lot for this training.
I have to say that this was one of the best seminars that I've been to in a long time. Our instructor Lisa gave us great motivation and helped us step out of our comfort zone.
Absolutely great course and a PHENOMENAL instructor. Patti made ever element of the course engaging and memorable. I walked away with new knowledge and confidence in my ability to implement it!
The instructor was excellent and gave very constructive feedback.
The instructor was very experienced and knowledgeable. The class was very fun...
Course was intense, pushed me out of my comfort zone but excellent!
Engaging and eventful, Brent created an environment where learning, questions, and activities worked together seamlessly to impart the fundamentals of presenting.
loved all of the class and instructor feedback. all of the coursework and assignments were key to the success of this class. must be prepared mentally to get the most out of this class.
Good atmosphere to work out some issues. Very supportive.
Good class size, great facilitator.
Laura was poised and professional. She knows her craft and teaches it exceptionally well.
Allan was a great instructor. Very interactive and knowledgeable.
Alan was an incredible presenter. I learned so much about giving presentations. More than I could have ever thought. Alan took our learning seriously.
The training was nice. The instructor was extremely professional, personable, and available. She took time to understand the needs of the people in the class and also offered individual help as much as she could.
I enjoyed the course and learned a lot from it. The instructor was very knowledgeable.
great class, all content was relevant, facilitator did an excellent job. she was very knowledgeable and the class was a good pace
Thus was a great class that required a lot of participation and the instructor Lisa was great.
Reesa was a great coach. She is personable and relatable. Everyone was provided with equal feedback in quantity and quantity.
Dynamic, fun, motivating, and very usuful course. I will take these learnings into my everyday life.
I enjoyed both the class material and observing Reesa's own facilitation skills. I plan to apply both to my future presentation opportunities.
Reese is wonderful and very profession. She is clearly an expert in her field.
I have taken a lot of public speaking courses in my lifetime, and nothing compares to Reesa's style and knowledge. I truly believe I am a better presenter, and more confident. I learned many new techniques that will help in my career today and in the future
Plenty of opportunities to apply the learnings
This is the best course I've taken. Well-organized with so many usable skills i'll take with me. The in-class participation, homework and video taping were key as well as the instructors very well thought out lesson plan.
Peter was an incredible instructor. He made learning easy and fun while challenging me to grow in during the 3 days.
This was an awesome workshop. The instructor offered practical tips and engaged everyone in the class. He offered one-on-one coaching and his feedback was helpful and productive. He was professional and made the class fun. The hands on experience was really helpful.
This course was great overall. Brent helped to create a safe environment which helped to make everyone more comfortable and ease our nerves. A wide variety of topics were reviewed during the course of 3 days but Brent stressed that we should just focus on one thing to work on at a time so as to help us to not become overwhelmed. The feedback and video recordings were extremely helpful and helped show us what we needed to specifically work on. It was nice being in a class where you knew everyone had the same fear with presenting so everyone was supportive and non-judgmental. This was a great class which I would definitely recommend to others who have the same fears with presenting!
Brent was the best instructor I've had at ama
The professor was great and made me feel very comfortable esp since I was a bit nervous about the class!
I was able to learn new things to enhance my learning. Lisa has a very simple way to teach important concepts. By end of the day, you realize that you learned a lot.
Lisa was excellent. I really liked learning in a small group. This allowed us to have more interaction and personal practice. The learning material flowed well, Lisa gave ample opportunities to present in front of the class and we received good developmental feedback from both Lisa and the class.
The class was supposed to have 12 people originally but 6 dropped out and only 3 actually showed up. It was somewhat difficult to take a class in public speaking when there weren't many people to speak to.
Jill made the class very interesting and engaging. She used lots of examples to illustrate. The pace was good. She clearly explains all points..
I really enjoyed taking this class. I was quite nervous beforehand but everyone (the instructor and the other participants) was extremely supportive and gave positive feedback.
As a presenter that had never taken any presentation courses, I felt there was a lot of information to take away and it was nice reinforce what I was currently doing well.
Great instructor; nice touch when it comes to critiquing/coaching in an encouraging manner.
Meet my expectations. Good share between theory and practice.
The training was excellent. I learned so much and am so happy I had the opportunity to attend.
Great! Patti is a great instructor that will give you the energy and I really feel more confident after taking this course .
Patti is a fantastic Instructor. I really enjoyed the course.
Very good class! The course materials was excellant. Patti did an excellant job presenting the materials!! Dynamic Speaker!!
Very active class. The group was small, so ideal for good interaction. All main subjects have been discussed to perform a better presentation. The number of presentations performed by each member was sufficient to see improvements over these three days. Nevertheless, the display support can be updated (the teacher was still using paper flipboards) and we did not cover any aspect of presentations performed using Powerpoint (which is used in 100% of the presentations done within my company).
Room was way to warm. The building should have solved their heat suck on problem!
I was able to apply the tips and tricks to my business.
The material was nothing new unless the audience was extremely novel to presentations
Darlene drew out the group and used anecdotes to get ideas across.
It was great.
Darlene was an excellent instructor and I would love to take another seminar with her.
Darlene was very informative and very helpful on all aspects of the class.
My experience with Darlene was excellent. There were technical difficulties with the cameras, but I think Darlene handled it well and since the cameras were supplied by the facility (that is my understanding) I don't find fault with Darlene. At the very least, she was an example of calm during a technical difficulty, which is something we are bound to experience in presentations.
I would like to see more pre-prepared topics that people could be assigned. I believe nerves get in the way of clear thinking when it comes to extemporaneous speaking.
Pamela was absolutely amazing! She helped me through my fear of presentation and gave great feedback.
Great course - I saw immediate results and came away with tangible items I can continue to work on and tinker with.
Great opportunities to practice. Loved the fact that we were recorded 3 times.
Pamela is a dynamic, knowledgeable, and clearly experienced instructor. she challenged everyone to push far past their comfort zone but ensured we all felt we were in a safe environment to do so.
This class is great!! I learned a large amount of knowledge and skills.
Pam was amazing! Very informative, professional and constructive.
