Survey Says: It’s All About the Follow-up

Many organizations ask employees to participate in wonderfully detailed surveys—always with the implicit promise that their responses will help create a better workplace. However, all too often, no action is taken once the surveys have been submitted. Cathy Swody of Leadership Research Institute explains the importance of effective follow-up. For example, employees who believe that actions are being taken in response to an employee survey are nearly five times more confident that their business is changing for the better.
