More Than 1 in 3 Female Employees Not Paid Equally, American Management Association Survey Says

Results of a Workplace Equality Survey just completed indicates that more than 1 in every 3 women say they are not paid equally in comparison to others who hold the same position in their organization. Additionally, 1 in every 2 women believe they are not given the same opportunities as men. The survey results from more than 1400 respondents was timed to coincide with International Women’s Day on March 8th and was conducted by the American Management Association (AMA) Women’s Leadership Center, a division of AMA that offers women professional development. Responses were from both male and female, ranging from 18-65 years old with the majority being at a managerial level or higher spanning more than 11 industries.
