About the Presenters

Carole Hyatt is the Founder and President of MISSION: GETTING TO NEXT, a career transition program widely recognized as the essential first step for women in leadership and senior executive positions in the private, public, not-for-profit and military sectors. The organization is based on Hyatt’s world-renowned Leadership Forum’s foundational seminar GETTING TO NEXT, which has a 40-year track record of success helping thousands of women–and men–triumph over difficult transition periods. Hyatt is an acknowledged leader in her field, a bestselling author, successful business pioneer, educator and executive coach. Her books, The Woman’s Selling Game, Shifting Gears, Lifetime Employability and When Smart People Fail, have profoundly impacted the lives and careers of millions of women and men across the globe, guiding them in their own fields and moving them in new directions. Augmenting the books, Hyatt has provided highly effective workshops for each title over the span of many decades and has coached individuals and lectured groups on four continents–teaching them how to articulate new goals and ultimately reach their aspirations. She has addressed women in sales and marketing in public arenas worldwide, from Columbia University's The New School, Syracuse University, University of Michigan and Brandeis University, to schools in England, Japan, India, Malaysia, Germany and South Africa, and her seminars have been taught in corporations, including American Express and Bank of South Africa.

Linda Singh serves as a Major General and Adjutant General for the Maryland National Guard. She is also a Cabinet Secretary responsible for the Maryland Military Department. In 2012, Ms. Singh returned from a military deployment in Afghanistan, where she served as Afghan Security Forces operations chief with the 29th Infantry Division, as part of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) Joint Command. After returning from deployment, she was assigned as the director of Maryland National Guard joint staff, the Commander of the Maryland Army National Guard.

Prior to retiring from Accenture in 2016, she was a Managing Director in the Health and Public Service North America Operating Unit, where she served for 21 years. Ms. Singh served as executive director for veterans' programs, director of operations, commercial director, client account lead, as well as in numerous other program and project management roles for large systems implementations.

Ms. Singh mentors, coaches and speaks on leadership, diversity, adversity, career transition and issues that plague women and veterans in the workplace. She is the author of Moments of Choice: My Path to Leadership. Ms. Singh is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Associate Certified Coach (ACC) and Gallup Strengths Coach. She has received numerous awards, among them are 2013 DiversityMBA Top 100 under 50 Diverse Emerging Leaders and The Network Journal 25 Influential Black Women in Business Award for 2014. She was also inducted into the Maryland Women’s Hall of Fame in March 2015 and is a recent award recipient of the Ellis Island Medal of Honor for 2015.
