July 27, 2000The
American Management Association will present a four-part series of interactive
one-day workshops entitled "E-Business and Your Business: Strategies and
Real-Time Options." The events, known as "Executive Roundtables," are aimed
at AMA's Executive Membership and other high-level managers. Each session
will cover a different aspect of e-commerce, and will all be held at AMA's
Conference Center at 1601 Broadway, in New York City.
The
Executive Roundtables will be led by Martin Focazio, a noted interactive
strategist and trainer who has advised many legacy firms on making the
transition from "brick to click." He has developed successful online strategies
for companies including AT&T, Colgate, IBM, General Motors and Hyperion
Software, and he also works closely with numerous young Internet firms.
At each session, guest speakers will be featured and a luncheon will be
served.
The first Executive Roundtable, to be held Thursday,
September 7, 2000, is entitled "Rethinking Your Business: Building an
Effective E-Plan" and will address key issues including:
-
How to integrate the Internet into your company's
mission, infrastructure and operations
-
How to accurately assess the strategic and
operational issues behind taking your company online
-
How technology empowers your customerand
changes your businessas never before
"Everyone's talking about e-business, but to
date, few companies have managed to formulate and implement a successful
e-commerce strategy," said Florence Stone, AMA Director of Membership
Programs and Coordinator of the Executive Roundtables. AMA has developed
'E-Business and Your Business' to provide today's business leaders with
the tools they need to safely navigate their companies through the murky,
uncharted waters of the Internet."
Additional Executive Roundtable workshops
are scheduled as follows:
November 10, 2000: "The
B's and C's of E-Commerce" - finding the right business model (B
to B or B to C) for your company.
December 1, 2000:
"The Organizational E-Curve: Managing the Mindset" - determine
where your organization lies on the "e-curve" and how to progress to the
next level.
January 11, 2001:
"Delivering on the One-to-One Promise of the Internet" - increasing
competitive advantage by leveraging the Internet to manage customer relationships.
