September 25, 2000—American Management Association (AMA) will showcase its new portfolio of e-learning solutions at Online Learning 2000, September 23–28 at the Denver Convention Complex in Denver, Colorado.

AMA will offer live demonstrations of its wide array of e-learning and other online management development products, including “e-AMA Experts Online,’ a unique collection of courses featuring some of the world’s leading management thinkers. The company can be found at Booth #1803.

AMA has made an aggressive entry into the e-learning market, and will offer its customers and members a wide range of e-learning courseware, including courses in personal development, management skills, legal compliance, and diversity, as well as blended learning courses that combine the best of AMA’s trusted seminars with new, online features. All AMA courses are developed by leading subject matter experts and feature a practical approach which results in action-oriented learning.

AMA plans to introduce new e-learning courses every month, and will adapt any of its over 200 seminars to an e-learning format to meet the requirements of its corporate customers.

Course Offerings

AMA will launch its e-learning initiative with its unique “e-AMA Experts” courseware. The “e-AMA Experts” course offerings include Drucker on Management, a 10-course series created by world-renowned management thought-leader and educator Dr. Peter F. Drucker. It will also include sales courses developed with Tom Hopkins and business communications suites created in partnership with Dr. Richard Lederer.

The Best Partners

AMA is developing its own e-learning products as well as establishing strategic alliances with leading content and technology players in this growing industry.

The organization selects its partners through a rigorous due diligence process that gauges financial stability, content quality, management depth, and existing customer satisfaction. Current e-learning courseware partners include Corpedia, PrimeLearning.com, and KnowHowZone.

"The strong recognition of and trust associated with the AMA brand, our market-leading catalog of courseware, and efficient distribution network form a tremendous value proposition for our partners, and enable AMA to be selective when forming partnerships," stated Dr. George Weathersby, president and chief executive officer, AMA. "In turn, our chosen partners provide AMA with some of the best cutting-edge training applications in the industry."

"No other organization in the industry has the depth of knowledge, courses, or experience that AMA possesses," said Wendy Cohen, director of e-learning of AMA. "Within the next several months we will offer our customers a host of easily accessible, performance-oriented online courses, and supply our corporate customers with content uniquely tailored to their needs and developed by an organization that understands the demands of training large and diverse workforces."
