American Management Association and PrimeLearning.com Form Strategic Alliance

Companies to collaborate on e-learning offerings; share content and sales channels

September 26, 2000—American Management Association (AMA) and PrimeLearning.com™ today announced the formation of a strategic alliance. The collaboration will enable PrimeLearning.com to develop e-learning solutions based on AMA content, while providing AMA with the ability to market PrimeLearning.com’s entire suite of e-learning offerings to its corporate members and customers.

The agreement offers PrimeLearning.com customers access to AMA’s world-renowned content and expertise in management development subject areas. AMA members and customers will have a wider choice of Internet-based training and learning solutions to purchase through the organization.

AMA is currently leveraging its unique network of thought-leaders to develop a wide range of e-learning products, and plans to release new courses every month.

“In the very near future professionals at all levels will have unprecedented freedom to access all the best training materials directly through AMA,” commented Bob Fraulo, AMA senior vice president, Corporate Learning Services. “We are entering into this agreement because PrimeLearning.com excels at applying its unique methodologies to redesigning management training content for e-learning purposes.”

The alliance with AMA is the latest in a series that PrimeLearning.com has formed as part of a worldwide strategy to build a library of field-proven e-learning content from leading corporations, authors, and publishers.

“AMA is clearly a recognized market leader in the presentation of management development and training content,” stated Terry O’Brien, chief executive officer, PrimeLearning.com. "Incorporating outstanding subject matter into our solution will significantly enrich the span and content of e-learning offerings to PrimeLearning.com customers, as well as enable AMA to reach out to a new Internet-based audience."

PrimeLearning.com focuses exclusively on Internet-based corporate training delivery. Its e-Learning offerings provide a personalized learning experience for corporate employees that is customized to their organization’s unique needs. Each curriculum, between 10 and 30 hours of instruction, is anchored in real-world, job-related situations and made even more relevant through the inclusion of case studies, up-to-the-minute online news feeds, and multiple online resources. One of the major strengths of the Internet-based learning environment is the high degree of interactivity and peer collaboration for the business learner.
