American Management Association Collaborates with the Human Resource Institute to Offer More Research, News and Information to AMA Customers

NEW YORK, March 16, 2005—American Management Association (AMA), the world’s leading membership-based management education and development organization, is now collaborating with the Human Resource Institute (HRI), an independent research group based at the University of Tampa, to provide AMA members and customers with the latest research, news and information on business issues and workplace trends.

HRI publishes in-depth reports, white papers and other editorial materials on “people management” issues faced by organizations today. The institute has more than 100 corporate members that participate in timely surveys and commission the institute to do special research.

AMA and HRI have identified specific topics related to employee development, and HRI will conduct in-depth research studies on these topics, including leadership, innovation and creativity, ethics and changing demographics. In addition, AMA will have access to the latest news, trends and information on HRI’s Member Website that can be used to enrich AMA seminars, conferences, publications and newsletters. AMA members will also have an opportunity to participate in HRI surveys.

“This new relationship with HRI affords AMA an opportunity to offer more resources, information and support, particularly to our corporate members and customers, on the latest trends and challenges affecting managers and other executives today. It is an ideal complement to the products and services we now offer,” said Edward T. Reilly, AMA’s president and CEO.

“We are delighted to be collaborating with American Management Association, one of the most respected organizations in the professional development industry,” said Jay J. Jamrog, executive director of HRI. “AMA’s international membership and customer base provide HRI with the opportunity to have a broader audience for our research and insights and to benefit a global business community.”

AMA offers more than 160 seminars in general management, project management, finance, communication skills, human resources, sales, marketing and leadership. Programs are offered at all levels, from CEOs and senior executives to new managers and administrative professionals.
