NEW YORK, April 7, 2003American
Management Association, the world’s leading membership-based management
development organization, today announced that it has been named as one
of the winners of Training magazine’s first annual Achieving Performance
Excellence (APX) awards.
Subscribers of Training recognized AMA for it's excellence as a
training provider in a special ballot that appeared in the January and
February 2003 issues. More than 50,000 training professionals were asked
to select the best suppliers in the field as measured by four criteria:
value, ease of use, exceptional customer service and the ability to meet
buyers’ expectations.
AMA received APX Awards in four training categories:
Customer Service, Basic/Job Skills, Train the Trainer, and Culture, Language
and Diversity.
“It’s an honor for AMA to be recognized for its products and
customer service, particularly by those who have benefited directly from
our programs. We have known for 80 years that AMA provides exceptional
training, so it’s quite a tribute to have it confirmed by our customers,”
said AMA President and CEO Ed Reilly.
“To be selected by such a high-profile audience
of training professionals is a significant endorsement,” said Training
magazine publisher Stacey Marmolejo. “We are pleased that we have
created the APX program to further support the industry.”
A complete list of APX winners from 39 categories will
appear in Training’s June 2003 issue and will be featured
on the magazine’s Website at www.trainingmag.com.
