AMA President & CEO Edward T. Reilly Selected to Lead USO Board of Governors

Edward T. Reilly, president and CEO of American Management Association, has been unanimously elected by the USO’s Board of Governors to become its next Chairman. In his new role, Mr. Reilly will work closely with the other members of the Board, and the USO’s newly-appointed president and CEO, Sloan D. Gibson, to help the organization meet the historic challenges it now faces, as it strives to serve the men and women of our military fighting on two fronts overseas, as well as their families here at home.

Brooke Wiseman, executive associate to the president and CEO of Daiichi Sankyo, Inc., headquartered in Parsippany, NJ, received American Management Association’s (AMA) 2008 Innovation Award for Administrative Professionals. Wiseman attended the 16th Annual Administrative Professionals Conference in San Antonio, Texas, to be recognized for her innovative contributions to her company, the U.S. subsidiary of Daiichi Sankyo Co., Ltd., a leader in pharmaceutical innovation since 1899. Wiseman also received her trip to the conference compliments of AMA.

American Management Association Celebrates 50 Years in Saranac Lake, Dedicates New Call Center

AMA purchased the 66-acre Saranac Lake campus from the Trudeau Foundation in 1957. The site originally had served for two dozen years as the Adirondack Cottage Sanatorium, the first sustained, successful sanatorium for the scientific treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis in the United States. It was AMA’s then-president Lawrence Appley’s vision to make the site a remote retreat for classroom training. AMA used the campus as a conference center until 1971. Then it was converted to AMA’s operations support center.
