American Management Association (AMA), a world leader in professional development and performance-based learning solutions, has surpassed one million “listens” for its popular podcast series Edgewise. The free weekly podcast program features the insights of recognized thought leaders, business executives and authors across a wide range of management and general business topics, and provides perspective to help listeners improve performance, adapt to changing business realities and prosper in a complex and competitive world.

Launched on April 20, 2007, Edgewise has featured prominent guests, including former president of Starbucks and best-selling author Howard Behar; Nobel Prize-winning economist and New York Times columnist Paul Krugman; and former New York City mayor and author Ed Koch.

“The success of Edgewise is a testament to its rich content and knowledgeable guests, and we couldn’t be happier with its emergence as a highly-popular program among our community of managers and business leaders,” said Edward T. Reilly, president and CEO of AMA.  “Edgewise has become a media outlet in its own right, and a must-visit stop on many book tours.”

Edgewise will celebrate its 200th podcast on February 11, 2011, and will feature M*A*S*H TV star and cable pundit Wayne Rogers on “Taking an Unconventional Road to Success.”  Edgewise is available at http://podcast.amanet.org/edgewise/ and on iTunes.

In addition to the Edgewise podcast, AMA provides a variety of resources that help advance professional growth and promote performance excellence.  Ranging from seminars and workshops, to conferences, webinars and whitepapers, customers have access to rich information that is trusted by the worldwide business community.
